Knauss Business School

In collaboration with the Knauss Business School’s creative manager, we developed fun engaging stickers to increase brand recognition and visibility of the new building at the University of San Diego. My approach was to use a softer and rounder art style and handwritten font, which I created a unique twist on the traditional college aesthetic.

The Process

Through an extensive design process, I proposed several variations and discussed each design concept with the creative manager, ensuring a thorough understanding of their vision and preferences.

We wanted to incorporate the iconic palm trees of San Diego and beach waves and key figures at the University of San Diego like Diego the Torero and the Immaculata Church.

See below for the final designs.

Knauss Building

This sticker was a simplified imagining of the Knauss Business School Building.

Knauss Waves

A lot of the proposed sticker designs used the traditional block lettering. “Knauss” is the main focus in big block letters, as opposed to “USD.” This sticker incorporated the beach vibes of San Diego.

Knauss Retro

The proposed designs for this sticker employed a more retro look (asymmetrical background shapes, mid century font, and a simple illustration of a palm tree.)

New Beginnings

This was an early project with the Knauss School of Business. These stickers were such a hit with students and staff that what started off as a one-time project developed into a long term partnership. See below for a few other sticker designs.
